Render Player API is a base mod that gives third party mods managed access to the player render classes, including “RenderPlayer” aka “bln”, “ModelPlayer” aka “bbr” and “ModelBiped” aka “bbj”.
For modders, this mod is a really useful tool, as it can assist mod developers to manage and change some part of Minecraft which usually can’t be touched. If you are only an ordinary player, you still can have a look at it. For no reason :D.
Just kidding. Like Modloader, AudioMod, Forge and such, Render Player API is required for some mods to work properly. At the moment there are several mods using this API, including Aether II, AssassinCraft, Crossbow Mod 2, Improved First Person View, MineFantasy, Smart Moving, Sports Mod and Tropicraft. So if you want these mods to run perfectly, you’ll definitely have to download the Render Player API. It helps to prevent conflicts between mods, stop the game from being crashed and assist other mods to work well with each other.
Render Player API is compatible with Minecraft Forge, but remember to install it after Minecraft Forge if you want the game to run properly. Noticeably, this method only works with Minecraft 1.6.1 and earlier. For Minecraft 1.6 and later use Render Player API forge. For Minecraft 1.7.2 and later use Render Player API core.
